The Bangladesh Institute of Islamic Finance (BIIF) celebrated the graduation ceremony for its 1ST Batch of Professional Course in Islamic Banking (PCIB) in the conference hall of BIIT on February 27, 2024.

Mrs Humaira Azam, Managing Director & CEO, Trust Bank Ltd; was the chief guest where Mr. Muhammad Ali Qayyum, Director General, Institute of Islamic Banking and Insurance (IIBI), UK was the Guest of Honour. They handed over the certificates to the graduated trainees of PCIB.

Professor Mahbub Ahmed, Former Professor at Department of Accounting and Information System, University of Dhaka, Founder-Chairman of BIIF & BIIT Trust presided over the ceremony; where Dr. M Abdul Aziz, Founder Director, BIIF delivered the opening speech.

Prof. Dr. Shamsuddin Ahmed, Professor at IUT; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Omar Farooq, Professor of Economics at United International University; Dr. Mahmood Ahmed, Former DG, IBTRA; Dr. Md. Mizanur Rahman, Former Director, IBTRA, IBBL; Dr. Md. Golzare Nabi, Director (Research), Chief Economist’s Unit, Bangladesh Bank, spoke in the event. They extended their congratulations to the graduating trainees for their remarkable achievements throughout their study journey.

The event was filled with inspiring speeches, heartfelt moments, and well-deserved recognition of PCIB talented students. Two graduate trainees of the PCIB, Ms. Mahfuza Mustafy, First Asst. Vice-President, Trust Bank Ltd; Mr. Khalilur Rahman, Principal Officer, Al-Arafah Islami Bank Ltd, expressed happy over the course. It was a joyous celebration of their accomplishments and a reflection of the exceptional education provided by BIIF.

Among others, Md. Solaiman Mia, Dr. Sayed Saheed Ahmed, Dr. Mosarraf Hosen Masud, Anisur Rahman Ershad, was also present along with other high officials of different Banks.
